Opprettet 01.12.1961 av i henhold til paragraf 2 pkt. c i Bestemmelser om boligbyggelagenes adgang til å motta og forvalte sparemidler fra andelseierne, fastsatt av Kommunaldepartementet 28. august 1961 med hjemmel i lov av 4. februar 1960 om boligbyggel
Mandate:
Fondet skal sikre andelseierne i boligbyggelagene mot tap av sparemidler som lagene forvalter. Fondet mottar en promille av innestående sparemidler ved hvert årsskifte fra de boligbyggelag som mottar sparemidler.
