Information activities in the Office of the Prime Minister are primarily the responsibility of the State Secretary for Press and Information Affairs.
The State Secretary is the prime minister's press spokesperson, and keeps in close contact with the information service of the governing party or parties.
The Communication Section is managed by the head of Information who is directly responsible to the Secretary General. This section works in close collaboration with the political staff, primarily the State Secretary for Press Affairs.
The Head of Information will normally step in as the press contact in the absence of the State Secretary, or when asked to do so.
