Section for Nature Governance
The section develops and establishes systems for a holistic and ecosystem-based management. The section is also responsible for coordinating the department's work with science and research on nature, land management, cases under the Planning and Building Act, energy matters on land, the state budget, grant management and activity planning. The section also coordinates the management of the Norwegian Environment Agency, the Norwegian Biodiversity Information Centre and the county governors’ environmental protection departments on behalf of the ministry.
