Integration and Diversity Directorate (IMDi)
IMDi was established on 1 January 2006 as resource and advocate for integration and diversity. The Directorate works with immigrant organizations / groups, municipalities, government agencies and private sector. It provides advice and implements government policy.

When the decision to split the Immigration Directorate (UDI) and to create Integration and Diversity (IMDI) was passed, it was decided that due to economic and technical considerations, the two agencies would be co-located. This co-localization implies that a number of administrative functions will continue in its current form and will be carried out by UDI for both agencies.
