01.01.2011* Founding by merger
The section is responsible for the administrative agency management of the Competition Authority and the coordination of the academic department management. The section will facilitate academic coordination within the department and is responsible for financial and administrative matters affecting the department, particularly in relation to agency management.
The section is also responsible for dealing with competition policy issues and safeguarding the interests of competition to other ministries, related to their regulatory development and behavior that has an effect on competition. The section treats competitive economic issues at the department's work on appeals under the Competition Act and the Postal Services Act, and follows up on competition policy issues in national committees and councils and in international organizations such as OECD and WTO.
