01.08.2011 Founding by merger
Merger of the University of Oslo and Akershus University College
The government decided on Jan. 21, 2011 that the University of Oslo and Akershus University College should be merged into one college from 1 August 2011. The new institution will be named University of Oslo and Akershus HiOA).
