01.01.1949* Founding by complex reorganization
A deanery is an ecclesiastical administrative unit comprising several parishes.
In the Norwegian Church is the country's eleven dioceses divided into 107 deaneries (2011). There are about eight to nine deaneries in each diocese. Deaf churches throughout the country make up a deanery under the Oslo diocese.
