Tasks:
The section has an overall responsibility for the development of policies that contribute to reducing emissions from the transport sector. This includes the increased use of environmentally-friendly modes of transport and cleaner vehicles, as well as the work with fuel quality and the Renewable Energy Directive.
In addition, the section is responsible for the work with municipal climate and energy planning and climate change adaptation on a national level.
The section also has overall responsibility for national policies and the development of regulations in the area of local air and noise pollution.
