Department of Cultural Heritage is responsible for archives, libraries, visual art, architecture, literature, language policy, cultural buildings, museums, intellectual cultural heritage and Sami affairs. The department’s responsibilities also include oversight of the National Library of Norway, the National Archives Services of Norway, KORO (Public Art Norway), the Nidaros Cathedral’s Restoration Workshop, the Language Council of Norway and the Norwegian Library of Talking Books and Braille.
