The Directorate for Export Control and Sanctions (DEKSA) is the national authority for export control and sanctions in Norway. The Directorate is responsible for following up on Norway's international obligations and implementing the government's policy within the export of defence equipment and strategic technology, and in the area of sanctions.
Until 1 January 2025, formal responsibility for export control and sanctions lay entirely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
