Tasks:
Section for Forest Ecosystems
The section works to safeguard the biodiversity of forests and open lowlands and cultural landscapes and coordinates the department's work with endangered nature. The section is also responsible for the ministry's work with protected area management, the Marka area around Oslo, the Natural Diversity Act, impact assessments and genetically modified organisms.
