01.01.2019* Change of name
The section controls the work on traffic safety on roads and the administration of the Road Traffic Act and associated regulations. Areas of responsibility include road rules, speed limits, safety equipment, sanctions, driving licences and driving licence entitlement, commercial driver training, working hours for drivers, driving under the influence of intoxicants, signs, road-side controls, vehicle workshops, periodic inspections of motor vehicles, small electric vehicles and electric bicycles. The section is also responsible for regulations and the development related to autonomous vehicles.
