After the reorganization of Norwegian Public Roads Administration from 01.01.2010, the operative part of the Administration was transformed to the regional level. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration were modified to hold nationwide support and competency units, as well as government and management units for managing the road sector. This means that the integrity and impartiality issues will not pose major challenges when the supervisory function is placed directly under the Director of Roads, and thus not included in the agency's normal line organization.
